He will carefully get them to cut off all ties they have with others so that they’ll only have him. Maybe one of their friends goes missing, but it’s ok, it’s fine because he’s there to comfort them. It’s true, they really don’t need anybody else. He spends his time convincing them to rely on him and that they only need him. He won’t do anything about that though, they didn’t do anything wrong, he’s aware of that despite what his feelings are telling him. He feels so unsettled when they tell him stories about their day and they talk about who they interacted with and how they enjoyed time with their friends. He knows that these other feelings aren’t normal, not when they’re to this extent. It’s normal, and part of it brings him happiness, because he didn’t think that he’d find love. Unfortunately, the best option he had was to have them stay where they were and travel the world by himself. He knew that if (y/n) came with he’d do everything in his power to protect them, but there was still the chance of them getting hurt and he wouldn’t allow that. He also had to deal with actual monsters. He had to deal with sick people every day, monsters of the human race. ![]() ![]() The other option would be to bring them with him on his travels. But (y/n) wasn’t just some person, they were the one he loved and he didn’t want people to constantly pester them, look down on them, and insult them because he wanted to settle down by their side. He knew people would constantly question him, asking him why he wasn’t out searching for his sister, they would ask him why he didn’t do any of the things people requested, they’d ask if he really dropped everything for some person. He would want to, but there was no way he could. He’s a traveler, if he wasn’t constantly exploring people would get suspicious, so he couldn’t just stop so he could spend his life with (y/n).
